ArtFire Collection: Fern Foliage by EmilyClaireCreations

Its full summer here at Twilight... the days are especially hot from noon to 6pm and the land is dry, the native grasses and weeds are blond and life goes on day by day in these Californian chaparral mountains.

Studio owner of EmilyClaireCreations on ArtFire.com was born and raised in the rust belt of Ohio... "I come from a declining industrial area, which I believe has colored my influences and attitude. I find beauty in nature and industrial decay. Northeast Ohio boasts of both and it makes for an eclectic and inspirational pallet."

Within a couple of days of ArtFire launching its new Collection series, Valerie put together FERN FOLIAGE, a beautiful collage of products...

I particularly enjoy ferns especially since I do not get to have them on property... 12 hours of full sun will do that :) although I must say that after 9 years here... my landscaping has begun to create little subclimates around the gardens and orchards. But I digress... LOL

A sensational Czech glass button called Faerie Blue Fern features an iridescent moonglow cobalt blue curly frond which raised motif reflects aurora borealis aqua blues. I just adore this glass button- it makes me giddy when i see it :) lol

"Show off your love of Geology with this one of a kind fossil stone-like pendant ! This pendant is meant to resemble an ancient Paleolithic fern, encased in a Picture Jasper stone... it is hand-stamped and washed with copper and soft black acrylic paint, to give the fern "fossil" more definition. It measures at 1 1/2" in diameter."

"I enjoy working with semi-precious stones, copper, silver, and glass. Recently I have discovered a passion for polymer clay. I love making my own beads and pendants. I have barely scratched the surface of polymer clay, and I hope to expand into mixed media, using various metals, imagery and found objects."
